B’Yachad Building

Project Details

Sandrick Pty. Limited were engaged by Emanuel School as Project Managers for the design development and delivery of a new Kindergarten, Years 5 & 6 Hub and Imaginarium building located at Randwick, NSW, now known as The B’Yachad Building.

To capatilise on the favourable setbacks from the existing building and best utilise capital expenditure, the existing building structure was maintained and extended on. This project was design developed and tendered with construction commencing during COVID-19 under tight budgetary constraints.

The project was delivered in a heavily secured, live operating campus with limited space, containing in ground and above ground contamination.

Key features were a high level of security incorporated within the design and a bespoke joinery package with a high level of finishes.

Escalations in contractor pricing experienced post COVID-19 sadly resulted in two key sub contractors entering into administration. Despite all these challenges the project was still delivered within the budget established in 2019.
