New Indoor Sports Complex adds to Frensham School’s superior sporting precinct

Project Details

Sandrick were commissioned by Frensham as project managers to manage the design finalisation, tender, contract preparation administration and delivery of their new indoor sports stadium located within the school’s expansive sporting precinct in Mittagong, NSW.

The new Sports Courts Complex provides two multipurpose indoor sports courts with sprung timber floor and spectator galleries with retractable basketball backboards and shot clocks and dividing curtain between courts. Primary usage will be for basketball and netball but the stadium will also facilitate PDHPE programs, futsal, badminton, and a broad range of cardio and PT activities.

Staff and athlete amenities are provided with dual access to enable them to be used by both indoor stadium users and also external users of the adjacent tennis and hockey fields. Facilities include a sports office, canteen, first aid room, separate spectator, student and referee change and toilet facilities and an extensive array of sports storage facilities.

Frensham has a proud tradition of excellence in sporting achievement and has been the home of emerging and incredible athletes who have gone on to represent the school, state and country.
